Our Commitment to Privacy

Your privacy is important to us.  To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Information We Collect

We may collect, process and store personal information online, including names, postal and email addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, billing information, and other information which users of our site may choose to share with us.   We do not knowingly collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 13, and no part of our site is designed with the purpose of attracting any person under age 13.

On some pages, you are asked for your name and email address.  In the future, you may be able to order products, make requests, communicate through The Blue Shoe Project™, and/or register to receive materials.  In that event, we may ask for your name, postal and email address, phone number, credit/debit card or other billing information, and/or information about your line of business or areas of interest.  In the future, you may also be able to submit information about other people.  For example, if you wish for materials to be sent to another person, or order a product online and want it sent directly to the recipient, you will need to submit the recipient’s name, postal and/or email address, and/or other possibly identifying information such as a description of business or areas of interest.

We may also collect information automatically and through the use of electronic tools.  For example, we may log the name of your Internet Service Provider or use “cookie” technology.  As we adopt additional technology, we may also gather information through other means.  In certain cases, you can choose not to provide us with information, for example by setting your browser to refuse to accept cookies.

The Way We Use Information

We may use this information in a variety of ways, including communicating with you.  Unless you otherwise consent, we will use your personal information only for the purpose for which it is submitted, such as to reply to your emails, process your requests, participate in The Blue Shoe Project™ or others of our programs; to provide operational notices, maintain records, facilitate conferences and compliance with legal obligations, and similar objectives; and to administer, troubleshoot, manage and improve our site.  We do not share personally identifiable information with third parties except as necessary in order to accomplish the purpose for which you have submitted it, or as set herein.  We may use non-identifying and aggregate information to improve our website, and may share it with business partners or others in the future, but will not use aggregate information to contact you individually.

As we continue to develop our business, we may sell, buy, merge or partner with other companies or businesses.  In such transactions your information may be among the transferred assets.  We may also disclose your information in response to a court order, at other times when we believe we are required by law to do so, and/or whenever we deem it appropriate or necessary to give such information to law enforcement authorities.  Please note that we may not provide you with notice and choice in such cases.

Governing Law

This policy and the use of this site are governed by Texas law, irrespective of its conflict-of-laws rules.  Any claim related to the Site or this policy shall be brought in a state or federal state in and for Tarrant County, Texas, and no other location, within one year after the claim arises.  You agree no such claim may be brought as a class action.  Users of this Site consent to the jurisdiction of such court as the most convenient and appropriate for the resolution of disputes concerning this policy, accept irrevocably its jurisdiction, and waive any claim for change of venue based on convenience or otherwise.  This site is controlled, operated and administered entirely within the United States.  If you are located outside the United States, please note that the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States.  You hereby consent to this transfer.
