We are greatly saddened by the passing of Blues legend David “Honeyboy” Edwards. He played an integral role in many of our education programs from 2004-2008. Honeyboy made a huge impact on thousands of children, especially in his latter years as part of our Blues education programs and the recording of the Grammy award winning album we produced entitled Last of The Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen – Live in Dallas.

There is so much to be said about Honeyboy, but we think imagery speaks louder than any words we could ever write. We invite you to view the video below from a program we presented in 2007 at Georgetown Preparatory School, near Washington D.C. Feel free to share your thoughts and comments with us below.

In memoriam, we encourage you to pick up a copy of Last of the Great Mississippi Delta Bluesmen – Live in Dallas featuring Honeyboy or make a contribution in his honor to our mission to preserve his music through our Blues education programs aimed at young audiences. Your support will ensure that his message and the message carried through the music is not lost.

Thank you for your thoughts, love and support.
